Audio/Video Split: Extract Audio Track from Video — Tutorial

The Audio/Video Split tool separates video into audio and visual components. Server-side FFmpeg exports silent MP4 and independent MP3, suitable for extracting background music, creating silent material, and pre-editing resource preparation.

Audio/Video Split Tool Interface

Features

  • Home progress: Upload and server separation stay on the upload page with an overlay indicator.
  • Fullscreen workbench: Opens after a successful split; video/audio preview fills the stage.
  • Dual-track toggle: Switch between Video File and Audio File in the toolbar.
  • Download menu: Download video, Download audio, or Download video & audio (ZIP).

Use Cases

  • Extract background music or voice recordings from videos.
  • Prepare silent visual material for editing projects.
  • Split meeting recordings into visual and audio files for separate archiving.

How to Use

  1. Open the Audio/Video Split tool.
  2. Upload one mp4, webm, mov, wmv, mkv, or avi video — max 50MB, longest 15 minutes.
  3. Wait on the home upload page until separation finishes.
  4. After success, use Video File / Audio File to preview fullscreen.
  5. Open Download and choose Download video, Download audio, or Download video & audio; Reset clears and returns to upload.

Notes

  • Processing time for large files depends on server load.
  • Videos exceeding 50MB or 15 minutes will be rejected.
  • Videos without audio tracks only produce a video track; Download audio is disabled; Download video & audio still packs available files.
