PDF to Word: Convert PDF to Editable DOCX Online — Tutorial

PDF to Word tool UI

PDF to Word converts PDF files into editable .docx. The server prefers Python pdf2docx to rebuild native Word tables and paragraphs. If pdf2docx is unavailable or fails, it falls back to LibreOffice writer_pdf_import. For PDFs with tables (contracts, reports), pdf2docx usually preserves column alignment better.

Features

  • pdf2docx first, LibreOffice fallback.
  • Batch upload with progress list.
  • Download .docx or ZIP when done.

Use cases

  • Edit contract clauses or tables from PDF in Word
  • Revise OCR’d scanned PDFs in Word
  • Extract body text and tables from PDF for further layout

How to use

  1. Open PDF to Word.
  2. Click the upload area or drag a PDF (single file ≤ 5MB).
  3. Wait for server-side conversion (progress in the list).
  4. Download .docx; batch jobs may arrive as ZIP.

Notes

  • Encrypted, corrupted, or very poor scans may fail.
  • Complex layout, headers/footers, and special fonts may need touch-up in Word.
  • Server needs pdf2docx or LibreOffice PDF import.
  • Uploads are removed after about 10 minutes.
