Video Convert: MP4, WebM & GIF Converter — Tutorial

Video Convert converts common video containers to mp4, webm, or gif via server-side FFmpeg—useful for compatibility, web assets, and GIF exports.

Video Convert Tool Interface

Features

  • Output formats: mp4, webm, or gif (toolbar toggle on the home page).
  • Workspace after upload: a task row shows size, status, and output size.
  • Auto convert: processing starts right after upload for the selected format.
  • Re-convert: changing the target format re-runs conversion for the current file.

Use Cases

  • Convert webm to mp4 for better chat and mobile compatibility.
  • Export short clips as GIF for docs or demos.
  • Produce webm for web animation or frontend projects.

How to Use

  1. Open Video Convert.
  2. Choose target format: mp4, webm, or gif in the toolbar.
  3. Upload one video (mp4, webm, mov, wmv, mkv, avi — max 50MB, ≤15 minutes).
  4. Wait until the task shows complete.
  5. Click Download to save the file; Reset clears and returns to upload-only home.

Notes

  • GIF uses about 720px longest side and ~10fps; audio is dropped.
  • Unusual source codecs may fail conversion.
  • Do not upload confidential or unauthorized videos.
